Not aware of any limitation on Windows part that would prevent you from downloading a file it did not recognize as a known file type. An antivirus might do that. It sounds like she is trying to download Funtime, can't for whatever reason, and that she tried opening a.wpc file and Windows asked her what program did she want to pick to open it. The lite version is free but won't let you cut with it, just print, you can easily copy and paste into MTC for cutting.

Well, I know it can block 'drivers' from downloading and not telling you so thought it might block unknown (to your computer) file types too possibly. But, yes, could also be an anitvirus program too doing that. I didn't read that she was trying to download Funtime its self, I read that statement from her as a question, based on the previous answer, that these were Funtime files, she was then asking would Win7 not download Funtime files? Also that page creates a cookie to send ads you have to agree to that., not what I was after either lol. The antivirus is not involved.
But that said there is no listing of Windows 7 in that page. Just xp/vista. I was aware I can cut and paste after that Will have to have the geek son in law figure it out. B-) I have wpc files I downloaded but apparently funtime is the program I need to open them, and to get that I need to download a Windows 7 compatible program.
I don't seem to see that just the xp/vista. I have MTC to cut and paste to. Gads the learning curve is already scary and I haven't even got the gosh darn machine:-?? If you do not have a software program on your computer that opens WPC files, then your computer will not know what to do with that type of file when you double click on it. It will try to guess which software it might use, and attempt to open the file there. Once you get your Pazzles software installed, you shouldn't have this problem, as double clicking on a WPC file would automatically open it in the Pazzles software. Until then you can download and install the free Funtime Lite, and WPC files will be opened automatically in that software.
The Pazzles software will change that file association once you install the Pazzles software. If you do not have a software program on your computer that opens WPC files, then your computer will not know what to do with that type of file when you double click on it.

It will try to guess which software it might use, and attempt to open the file there. Once you get your Pazzles software installed, you shouldn't have this problem, as double clicking on a WPC file would automatically open it in the Pazzles software.

Until then you can download and install the free Funtime Lite, and WPC files will be opened automatically in that software. The Pazzles software will change that file association once you install the Pazzles software.
