ModDB profile address: RECENT VERSION: BUILD 13 FINAL Pirates of the Caribbean is a very nice pirate Role Playing Game for PC. Although the game was far from great, it was certainly good fun, apart from the bugs. Fortunately for the players, the game could easily be modified and that is how the Build modpack began. The Build contained all good mods joined into one package for easy installation. I started messing around with modding after Build 12 was released. I made a couple of small mods myself and added all mods that other people made into what soon became a major add-on for Build 12. Finally, two years after the release of Build 12, this modpack has been released as Build 13, introducing many new bugfixes, features, mods, character models, locations, items and yet again enhancing the game quite a lot.
Build 13 Final is the final full installation version for Build 13. Work is in progress on Build 14, for which several Alpha versions are available for public testing here. What a shame, went through the trouble of getting this all up and running and the water looks awful. (Intel HD) It looks worse than it did on XBOX when I played it as a kid, and I was excited to see the game again in it's original glory and then some. Looks like a different game. It's awesome that this exists, really awesome, so thanks for your work. I'm not sure I'll play it now though, I mean I love the game for many reasons unrelated to graphics, but being that it's a pirate game the water is kind of paramount.
Doesn't help that my nostalgia for it is so strong, I really loved the look. Didn't learn about the water issue until later on, oh well. INTEL HD GRAPHICS 0/10 - too much water +1 vote.
Pirates of the Caribbean problems with ENGINE.exe: In my case a simple software, called SwiftShader2.0 solved it!!! Recently I also had a problem with this game. Every time i tryed to start a new game, an error occured, stating, that the engine.exe stopped, and the program exited. After spening all night researching on this topic, i found the solution: you should install SwiftShader 2.0. It is a simple and great program (as far as i know it changes the graphical performance, in order to get the game work).
You can download it from here: Having downloaded, sipmply install it to the root folder of the game (in my case it is C: Program files Bethesda Softworks Pirates of the Caribbean) Note that, there is a 'Config' file in this root folder, and using that you can make the graphical settings of the game (resolution, set it to full screen mode, etc.). For some reasons this didn't want to work in my case, but there is an other way of doing these settings: in this root folder you can also find an 'engine.ini' file, which can be opened as a.txt file. If opened as.txt, than you can rewrite the data in it in order to make the desired changes (for examlpe you should rewrite 'fullscreen = 0' to 'fullscreen = 1', to activate full screen mode.
You cn also chage the graphical resolution of the game this way.) The link i have given to download SwiftShader2.0 is reliable, it is originally a created for 'New Horison', which is a promising mode for Pirates of the Caribbean. You can also download this full mode, and install it containing SwiftShader2.0.
This mode contains much more adventure -for example you can choose from about 7 very different charachters to play with! But personally i decided to play without whis mode, because in my system it wasn't performing well. I hope, this will solve your problems too. /Soory for spelling mistakes/ Posted on Jul 15, 2011. 7 Answers SOURCE: Hello Etto! Recently i had the same problem with this game.
However, in my case i finally managed to solve it! I guess, the main problem was, that the game couldn't communicate with my Intel on board graphic card, what is more, it didn't see my AMD Radeon video card. Finally i found 2 soultion: First: swich off Intel on board graphic card.
This way the game used my AMD Radeon video vard without any problems. Second: Use a software, called SwiftShader2.0, which can make the game use the Intel on board graphic card without any problems. If necessary you can easily reinstall SwiftShader2.0, using its reinstall icon, that can be found in the same folder, in which it was installed. • Neil Diamond's five-decade career as a singer, songwriter, and performer has certainly been a successful one by any standard. He's sold well over 115 million records worldwide to date and has had eight number one singles ('Cracklin Rosie,' 'Song Sung Blue,' 'Desiree,' 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers,' 'Love on the Rocks,' 'America,' 'Yesterday's Songs,' and 'Heartlight'), and if he hasn't always generated the kind of critical respect he probably deserves, he's been a steady and dependable artist who has managed to keep his large core audience happy.

If you have restore points already setup on your computer, you should try rolling back your PC to the day prior to the first attempt to install the game. It's possible that a recent windows update could have caused this, or a virus has infected your system. After you restore your system, that you first ensure your anti-malware and firewall software is up to date and complete a full scan. Then change your user settings so that you are the administrator (it's not recommended, but it is an option). Alternatively, you can right click the exe file that loads the installer, and choose run as administrator.
That makes an exception for that one application, instead of blanket coverage for all activities on your PC. Jul 05, 2017.
